Drive high performance through leading self, leading others, leading teams and leading change

In this highly volatile and increasingly challenging global age of business, with accelerated change and relentless competition the norm, leadership excellence is critical for a sustainable competitive edge. This intensive and high impact workshop is designed to develop transformational leadership competencies and personal effectiveness through the development of self-leadership, leadership of others and change leadership. This initiative is pitched at all levels of leadership, from emerging to executive leaders.

Leading Self

The journey starts with the foundation of leadership effectiveness, self-leadership and personal mastery. To be an effective leader (of yourself, your family or the workplace) you need to be effective as an individual.

What you will learn:

  • Understand the world of work – the broad context within which we manage our careers
  • Gain a deeper understanding of your own personality and how personality differences need to be managed within the working context
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Discover those behaviours that can derail your relationships, and your career
  • Finding purpose and meaning
  • Meta-competencies – competencies outside of your technical role that allows you to manage people and be productive.

Leading Teams

The single biggest factor impacting a team’s performance is its leader and the leader’s ability to create a high performance, continuous learning and improvement culture.

What you will learn:

  • Team effectiveness models, effective vs. ineffective teams
  • High-performance team success factors
  • Team development cycle
  • How to develop purpose, vision and goals
  • Team learning and team roles
  • Managing conflict

Leading Others

All of us need to learn how to extend our leadership beyond our direct reports, our immediate teams, and lead others. We can model behaviour to, and influence, a wide variety of people in other departments, other organisations, and even those who are our superiors in an organisational context.

What you will learn:

  • The difference between a leader and a manager, and the importance of both.
  • How to effectively delegate
  • How to inspire and get the best out of other people
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Decision making skills

Leading Change

The ability to lead change in organisations, and in one’s personal life, is arguably the most critical of all the leadership competencies in the 21st century. Globalisation, competition, accelerated technological innovation and rapid change has necessitated the ability to lead change.

What you will learn:

  • How to overcome culture and use it as a vehicle of change
  • The change cycle
  • The importance of leadership vision and commitment
  • The psychology of change
  • Change plans, roles and resources
  • Stakeholder identification and management
  • Capacity for change
  • Sustaining the change

Transformational Leadership in Action

Paradise Company with its subsidiaries Paradise Foods and Laga Industries have been proud to partner with Peopleconnexion in a number of transformational activities for our business. A significant step has been putting our people through the Transformational Leadership Training. We saw a gap in the certain leadership capabilities of our people, so reaching out to Peopleconnexion for their training resources, we have had the pleasure of meeting Kristine Berry and one of the most enthusiastic and engaging trainers and Gary Blair who has great subject knowledge and very adept at engaging his audience. I strongly believe our people have been empowered with a range of critical leadership skills through these learnings that some are actioning those learnings as soon as they finish a session and return to their jobs. The self-awareness piece is a highlight for the participants.
