Join the Work Ready Graduate Pool

The Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) is the Australian Government’s specialist infrastructure program, investing in transformational infrastructure across the Pacific and Timor‑Leste. AIFFP delivers quality climate resilient infrastructure, with a focus on strong social and environmental safeguards and supporting local job creation and skills acquisition. 

The AIFFP is working with the Government of PNG and private sector entities to improve infrastructure throughout PNG in key economic sectors. In the energy sector, the AIFFP is financing a range of infrastructure from transmission infrastructure, off-grid renewable energy systems to smart meters and household electricity connections. In the maritime sector, the AIFFP is partnering with PNG Ports Corporation Limited to upgrade and refurbish key ports in Papua New Guinea, including in Kimbe, Kavieng, Daru, Oro Bay and Lae.  

About the Work Ready Graduate Pool

Peopleconnexion PNG is leading the development of a 12-month candidate pool by partnering with contractors to identify workforce needs and source high-potential young talent, fostering inclusive employment and supporting national capacity building.

Who We're Looking For

  • Candidates aged 19-30 years.
  • Graduated within the last 12 months in relevant disciplines.
  • A Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 and above or a scoring above 80% is preferred
  • Women, people living with a disability as well as those living in rural communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates must submit academic transcripts, references, and other supporting documentation.
  • Relevant internships, practical experience, and extra-curricular involvement are highly valued.

The Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) is a significant initiative by the Australian Government, investing in critical infrastructure across the Indo-Pacific region, including in Papua New Guinea. AIFFP's investments span various sectors, including energy, water, transport, and telecommunications, aiming to improve economic and social development outcomes.

AIFFP offers opportunities for graduates to gain experience on its projects as they roll-out. Projects in PNG include road infrastructure improvements, electrification projects, and port upgrades across the country. This initiative aims to create a diverse, scalable, and work-ready pipeline of candidates in key infrastructure-related disciplines, ensuring candidates not only meet their educational qualifications but are also prepared for the workforce through targeted work-readiness training and professional development.
