Our consultants had the pleasure of being joined by new Broncos recruit and PNG rugby star David Mead in the Peopleconnexion office this week. We were incredibly inspired by his story.
David’s story is one of determination. Growing up with David, our PNG Country Manager Stephen Mead still remembers watching a test match between Australia and New Zealand on TV together back in PNG when David was 8 years old. With a glint in his eye, he pointed to the TV and said, ?You watch, one day that will be me up there, playing at the World Cup?. In 2008, David made this dream a reality when he played in the World Cup in Australia thanks to hard work, countless hours of training and a drive to be at the top of his game. Today, David has carved out a name for himself in Australia and PNG’s history after becoming the Gold Coast Titans’ highest points scorer and representing PNG on the world stage.
